whose mouths must be stopped, who overturn whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.

Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, You must be circumcised and keep the Law; to whom we gave no such commandment;

having faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck,

of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may be taught not to blaspheme.

Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to argue with empty words to no good, to the destruction of the hearers.

For if we sin willfully after we have received the full true knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,

But his lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter.

Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been immersed by him.

And he said to him, Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a harsh man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow.

The one believing into Him is not judged; but the one not believing is judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
