And He said, Hagar, Sarai's maidservant, where have you come from, and where are you going? She said, I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.

And the Angel of Jehovah said to her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.

And they said to him, Where is Sarah your wife? So he said, Here, in the tent.

(She is boisterous and stubborn; her feet do not settle down in her own house.

Who can find a woman of strength? For her value is far above rubies.

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

She is like the merchant ships; she brings her food from afar.

She considers a field and buys it; from the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

She tastes that her merchandise is good; her lamp does not go out by night.

She extends her hand to the poor; yea, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

She makes tapestry for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple.

She makes fine linen and sells it, and delivers clothing to the merchants.

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.

Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised.

And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

being well reported of for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.

To the woman He said: I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth children; your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.

But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be in subjection, as the Law also says.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

Let a woman learn in silence with all subjection.

And I do not permit a woman to teach or to usurp authority over a man, but to be in silence.

Wives, likewise, be subject to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the Word, they, without a word, may be won by the behavior of their wives,

Do not let your adornment be outward; arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands,

However, because of this matter in which you have caused contempt, for Jehovah to be spurned by His enemies, the child also who is born to you shall die the death.

O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary for reproach.

Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.
