the utterance of him who hears the words of the Mighty God, and has the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, who falls down, with open eyes:

Therefore Jehovah said, Whereas this people draw near with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men;

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah and make mention of the God of Israel (but not in truth nor in righteousness;

Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in drawing near to God.

So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they act out love, but their hearts go after their unjust gain.

Israel shall cry to Me, My God, we know You.

Israel has cast off the good; the enemy shall pursue him.

and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the Law,

an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having the form of knowledge and truth in the Law.

You who say, Do not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.

always learning, but never able to come to the full true knowledge of the truth.

For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were set forth to this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny the only Lord God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

how much more abhorrent and corrupt is man, who drinks injustice like water!

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, prostitutes, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or produces an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

And Samuel said: Has Jehovah as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in to obey the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.

And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the mouth of Jehovah and your words, because I feared the people and heeded their voice.

Let no one beguile you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

knowing this: that the Law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for slayers of fathers and slayers of mothers, for murderers,

Rejected silver they call them, because Jehovah has rejected them.

And even as they do not like to have God in their full true knowledge, God gives them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

But as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith;
