But as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith;

For every man threw down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.

And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. And there were lice upon man and beast.

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

thus says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in My name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall kill them before your eyes.

because they have done disgraceful things in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and have spoken lying words in My name, which I have not commanded them; for I am He who knows and is a witness, says Jehovah.

Where now are your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you nor against this land?

And now, lo, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; but who are you?

This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
