And the officers shall speak to the people, saying: What man is there who has built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, that he not die in battle and another man dedicate it.

And what man is there who has betrothed a woman and has not taken her? Let him go and return to his house, that he not die in battle and another man take her.

And the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

And everyone who competes for the prize controls himself in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we an imperishable.

Therefore I run in this manner: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.

But those who purpose to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which plunge people into ruin and destruction.

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the full true knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the end is worse for them than the beginning.

For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord's freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ's slave.

You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.

Therefore we strive, whether at home or away, to be well pleasing to Him.

But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
