Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but partake in the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God,

for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of bonds; but the Word of God is not bound.

But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

At my first defense no one stood with me, but all deserted me. May it not be reckoned against them.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the preaching of the message might be fulfilled through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name.

Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and influential women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their borders.

And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to inflict injury and stone them,

they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region.

Now when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him,

(For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

Then He said to me, Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.

Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air,

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles;

how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already,

which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the end.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but partake in the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God,

O my God, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

For the Lord Jehovah will help Me; therefore I have not been ashamed. Therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Do not fear, for you shall not be ashamed; nor be humiliated, for you shall not be put to shame. For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

Then Paul answered, What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who is believing, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.

And hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

As it is written: Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame.

according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this regard.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

When I cry out, then my enemies shall be turned back. This I know, for God is with me.

But no, rather, I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

Behold, the Mighty God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid; for YAH JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.

and in His name the Gentiles will hope.

And again, Isaiah says: There shall be a root of Jesse; and He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

that we who previously trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

In whom also, after you heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also, believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

I and the Father are One.

who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.

For in that He Himself has suffered, being tested, He is able to help those who are tested.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He lives forever to make intercession for them.

This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should not lose any of it, but should raise it up at the last day.

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes into Him may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

While I was with them in the world, I cared for them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have guarded; and not one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil.

O Timothy, guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and empty babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge;

who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Now to Him who has the power to keep you from stumbling, and to present you without blemish before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Jehovah, the Mighty God of Truth.

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. Having said this, He breathed out the spirit.

And they stoned Stephen as he was invoking and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day; and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.

Hereafter, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all the ones loving His appearing.

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many works of power in Your name?

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.

But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
