Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was Greek.

Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go as though toward the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there.

And those who conducted Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him quickly, they departed.

When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.

Timothy, my fellow worker, and Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, greet you.

For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.

Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.

Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brethren.

Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but it was not at all his desire to come at this time; however, he will come when he has opportunity.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you through us; through me, Silvanus, and Timothy; was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes.

I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.

If anyone inquires about Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for you; or our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.

But that you also may know my affairs and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you,

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it goes with me.

Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, and your messenger and the one who ministered to my need;

even as you also learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you,

with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you all things which are happening here.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand complete and full-grown in all the will of God;

so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must enter the kingdom of God through many afflictions.

So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they committed them to the Lord into whom they believed.

So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number day by day.

whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our affairs, and that he may encourage your hearts.

And being persuaded of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,
