We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers,

remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout all the world.

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,

As for the Word that you have spoken to us in the name of Jehovah, we will not give heed to you.

If the house is truly worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Then those who gladly received his word were immersed; and that day about three thousand souls were added.

So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul.

Now when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the Word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed unto eternal life believed.

And a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who revered God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.

And he brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

And they spoke the Word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, believing in God with all his household.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things are so.

Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, What does this empty talker want to say? And others, He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign demons, because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.

For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.

And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

that you may remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah.

Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

And it came to pass that, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the Word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.

But He answered and said to them, My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do it.

But He said, No; rather, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.

Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,

And on the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the Word of God.

Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

So then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.

For the Word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

but the Word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the Word which by the gospel was preached to you.

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

And we heard this voice which came from Heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

knowing this first, that not any of the prophecies of Scripture came into being from personal exposition,

For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know of what sort we were among you for your sake.

so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.

For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.

Sanctify them in Your Truth. Your Word is Truth.

And on their behalf I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified in Truth.

But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you.

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

which has come to you, as in all the world, and is bearing fruit, as it is also among you, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

For the Word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Of His own purpose He brought us forth by the Word of Truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever,

as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby,

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

For whatever is born from God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world; our faith.

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
