And He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you had not known nor had your fathers known, to make you know that man does not live by bread alone; but man lives by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, Manna? For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is the bread which Jehovah has given you for food.

It is good that one should hope for the salvation of Jehovah, even in silence.

He sits alone and keeps silence because He has laid it upon him.

He gives his cheek to Him who strikes him; he is filled full with reproach.

for though He causes grief, yet He will have compassion according to the multitude of His kindness.

Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so I will acknowledge the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for good.

For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land. And I will build them and not pull them down; and I will plant them and not pluck them up.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is achieving for us a surpassing and eternal weight of glory,

For they indeed for a few days disciplined us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised by it.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

that the testing of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found unto praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
