Has any people ever heard the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and lived?

And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, I am coming to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever. And Moses reported the words of the people unto Jehovah.

And when the sound of the shofar continued its sound and became exceedingly loud, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.

And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the sound of the shofar, and the smoking mountain; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance.

And Moses said to the people, Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, that you not sin.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: You have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.

And the glory of Jehovah settled down upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He summoned Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from the heavens, and gave them just ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments.

For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest,

See to it that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from the One speaking from Heaven,
