Deuteronomy 5:1-21
1
And Moses summoned all Israel, and said to them: Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I am speaking in your ears today, that you may learn them and take heed to do them.
2
Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3
Jehovah did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, all those of us who are alive here today.
4
Jehovah talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.
5
I stood between Jehovah and you at that time, to declare to you the Word of Jehovah (for you were afraid of the presence of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain), saying:

I am Jehovah your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
7
You shall have no other gods before Me.
8
You shall not make for yourself a carved image; any likeness of anything in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth;
9
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them; for I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous Mighty God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
10
but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
11
You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
12
Keep the Sabbath day, to be holy, as Jehovah your God has commanded you.
13
Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
14
but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Jehovah your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
15
And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore Jehovah your God has commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
16
Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with you in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.
17
You shall not murder.
18
You shall not commit adultery.
19
You shall not steal.
20
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
21
You shall not desire your neighbor's wife; and you shall not covet your neighbor's house, his field, his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.
Exodus 19:5
Now therefore, if you will listen to obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

The appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain before the eyes of the children of Israel.

At that time Jehovah said to me, Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain and make yourself an ark of wood.

And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you have broken; and you shall put them in the ark.

And I made an ark of acacia wood, hewed two tablets of stone like the first, and went up into the mountain, having the two tablets in my hand.

And He wrote on the tablets according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which Jehovah had spoken to you in the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and Jehovah gave them to me.

And I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as Jehovah had commanded me.
