And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and upon your seed perpetually.

Jehovah will not consent to forgive him; for then the anger of Jehovah and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and every curse that is written in this book shall lie down upon him, and Jehovah shall blot out his name from under the heavens.

so that your children of the generations to come, who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a distant land, when they see the plagues of that land and the sicknesses which Jehovah has laid upon it, shall utter:

And all the nations shall say, Why has Jehovah done thus unto this land? What is the meaning of this great burning anger?

for they went and served other gods and bowed down to them, gods that they had not known and that He had not apportioned to them.

And Jehovah uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

And My anger will burn against them in that day, and I shall forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?

And I will conceal to hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

For a fire has been kindled in my anger, and shall burn to the lowest Sheol; it shall consume the earth with her produce, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

I have said, I will dash them in pieces, I will bring to an end the memory of them from among men,

then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will send away from before My face; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Then they will answer, Because they have forsaken Jehovah their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken up with other gods, and bowed down to them and served them; therefore Jehovah has brought all this evil upon them.

behold, I will consume away after Baasha and after his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

The dogs shall eat whoever dies of Baasha in the city, and the birds of the heavens shall eat whoever dies in the fields.

Her uncleanness is in her skirts; she did not remember her end, and her downfall was extraordinary. There is no comforter for her. O Jehovah, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.

Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Behold and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow which is done to me, with which Jehovah has afflicted me in the day of His fierce anger.

The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy would have entered the gates into Jerusalem.

And He has confirmed His Words which He spoke against us, and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil. For under the whole heavens it has never been done as has been done to Jerusalem.

For the sons of Israel shall remain many days without king or ruler, and without sacrifice, and without pillars, and without ephod or teraphim.

For in those days there will be affliction, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.
