But as for you, stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I am giving them to possess.

Now these are the commandments, the statutes and judgments which Jehovah your God has commanded to teach you, to do them in the land which you are crossing over to possess,

Therefore hear, O Israel, and take heed to do it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as Jehovah the God of your fathers has promised you; a land flowing with milk and honey.

And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, exceedingly in every way.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

When Jehovah your God brings you into the land which you are going in to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,

If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

but you shall kill him to death; your hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.

When you come to the land which Jehovah your God is giving you, and have possessed it and dwelt in it, and say, I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,

When you come into the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you have come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving to you,
