Deuteronomy 7:1-4

When Jehovah your God brings you into the land which you are going in to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,

and when Jehovah your God has delivered them over to you, you shall strike them and destroy to exterminate them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy unto them.
3
Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son.
4
For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; and the anger of Jehovah will burn against you and quickly destroy you.
Deuteronomy 7:16-4
Numbers 21:2
And Israel vowed a vow unto Jehovah, and said, If You will grant to deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
Numbers 21:3
And Jehovah heard the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites, and they utterly destroyed them and their cities. So the name of that place was called Hormah.

So they struck him, his sons, and all his people, until there was no survivor left; and they took possession of his land.

And all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are holy unto Jehovah; they shall come into the treasury of Jehovah.

So the people shouted when the priests blew the shofars. And it happened, when the people heard the sound of the shofars and the people shouting with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. And the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city.

And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.
Joshua 9:24
And they answered Joshua and said, Because it was reported and told to your servants that Jehovah your God had commanded His servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land before you; therefore we were greatly afraid for our souls because of you, and have done this thing.

And that day Joshua made them woodcutters and drawers of water for the congregation and for the altar of Jehovah, in the place which He would choose, even to this day.
