Seven days you shall keep a feast unto Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah chooses, because Jehovah your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you shall be joyful.

You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.

Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.

My soul calls to mind and remembers, and it depresses my mind.

But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you.

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

And you being dead in trespasses and sins,

among whom also we all formerly conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others;
