you shall offer of your own will a male that is whole from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.

You shall not offer whatever has a blemish, for it shall not be acceptable for you.

And whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings unto Jehovah to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it.

Those that are blind or broken or maimed, or have an ulcer or itch or scabs, you shall not offer unto Jehovah, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto Jehovah.

A bull or a lamb that has anything deformed or dwarfed you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

You shall not offer unto Jehovah what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; you shall not do it in your land.
25
Nor from a foreigner's hand shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God, because their corruption is in them, and blemishes are in them. They shall not be accepted for you.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying:

When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be with its mother seven days; and from the eighth day and onward it shall be acceptable as an offering by fire unto Jehovah.

However, with the cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day.

And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto Jehovah, offer it of your own will.

On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until morning: I am Jehovah.

But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, Not until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before Jehovah and remain there always.

And Elkanah her husband said to her, Do what is good in your eyes; wait until you have weaned him. Only may Jehovah establish His word. So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of Jehovah at Shiloh: the child, the boy.
