And at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Is anyone among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Sing unto Him, make music unto Him; talk of all His wondrous works!

And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

For God is King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding.

God reigns over the nations, God sits upon the throne of His holiness.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name always.

Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek Jehovah!

Sing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; make music with the harp to our God,

Behold, My servants will sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl because of a crushed spirit.

These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will do homage to the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father seeks such to do homage to Him.

God is Spirit, and those who do homage to Him must do homage in spirit and truth.
