I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love through the diligence of others.

And in this I give advice: It is profitable for you not only to be doing what you began and were intending to do a year ago;

and not only that, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is administered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself, and your ready mind,

so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.

Therefore show to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love and of our exulting on your behalf.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia:

I encourage you, brethren; you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have appointed themselves to the ministry of the saints;
