and you take of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters go whoring after their gods and make your sons go whoring after their gods.

You shall keep My statutes. You shall not breed your livestock with other kinds. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment mixed with linen and wool come upon you.

and when Jehovah your God has delivered them over to you, you shall strike them and destroy to exterminate them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy unto them.

Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son.

You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, that the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard not be defiled.

You shall not wear a garment of mixed fabric, such as wool and linen together.

When these things were done, the rulers came to me, saying, The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, with respect to the abominations of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

For they have taken some of their daughters for themselves and their sons, so that the holy seed is mixed with the peoples of those lands. Indeed, the hand of the rulers and officials has been foremost in this treachery.

which You have commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, The land which you are entering to possess is an unclean land, with the impurity of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations which have filled it from end to end with their uncleanness.

Now therefore, do not give your daughters for their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons; nor seek after their peace or prosperity forever, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your children forever.

And they gave their hands that they would put away their women; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their sin.

On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the ears of the people, and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should come into the assembly of God forever,

So it was, when they had heard the Law, that they separated all the mixed multitude from Israel.

In those days I also saw Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.

So I contended with them and cursed them, struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, or for yourselves.

but they mingled with the nations and learned their works;

Make no friendship with an angry man; and do not go with a man of fury,

Judah has dealt treacherously, and has done an abomination in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of Jehovah, which He loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.

And has He not made them one? Yet the remnant of the Spirit is in him. And why one? He was seeking a seed of God. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and do not deal treacherously with the wife of your youth.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.

A wife is bound by Law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband dies, she is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.

Do not be led astray: Evil company corrupts good character.

Adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore purposes to be a friend of the world is shown to be opposing God.

When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it next to Dagon.

And when those of Ashdod arose early the next day, behold, Dagon was fallen on his face to the earth before the ark of Jehovah. So they took Dagon and put him back on his place.

And Elijah came to all the people, and said, How long will you be limping between two divided opinions? If Jehovah is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow after him. But the people answered him not a word.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out before him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, Should you help the wicked and love those hating Jehovah? Therefore wrath is upon you from before Jehovah.

As for the saints who are on the earth, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.

I have not sat with men of vanity, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.

Do not take away my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood,

in whose hands is an evil plot, and their right hand is full of bribes.

If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god,

shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will annihilate; the one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, I will not endure.

I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your Precepts.

Do I not hate them, O Jehovah, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies.

An unjust man is an abomination to the just; and he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me because I bear witness of it that its works are evil.

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons.

Let no one beguile you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

proving what is acceptable to the Lord.

not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother remains in death.

Riches and honor are with me; enduring wealth and righteousness.

My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the emptiness of their mind,

who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to licentiousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

proving what is acceptable to the Lord.

For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

Therefore He says: Awake, you who sleep, stand forth out from among the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

But you are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of His possession, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who did not have mercy but now have mercy.

that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.

In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming.

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from every sin.
