I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has been released from sin,

that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds,

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

You therefore endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No one serving military duty entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so persistently harasses us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,
