But his concubine committed adultery against him, and went away from him to her father's house at Bethlehem in Judah, and was there four months of days.

And her husband rose up and went after her, to speak to her heart, to bring her back, having his servant and a couple of donkeys with him. So she brought him into her father's house; and when the father of the young woman saw him, he was glad to meet him.

They say, If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him and becomes another man's, shall he return to her again? Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have committed adultery with many lovers; yet turn back to Me, says Jehovah.

and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought a bad name on a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he cannot put her away all his days.

Thus says Jehovah, Where is your mother's certificate of divorce, whom I have put away? Or to which of My creditors have I sold you? Behold, you have been sold for your iniquities, and your mother has been put away for your sins.

And the Pharisees came and asked Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? testing Him.
