20

27
So the servants of the owner came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?
28
He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Do you want us then to go and gather them up?
29
But he said, No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.

3
And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4
and said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. So they went.
5
Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
6
And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, Why do you stand here idle all day?
7
They said to him, Because no one hired us. He said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.
8
So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.
9
And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius.
10
But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius.
11
And when they had received it, they murmured against the landowner,
12
saying, These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.
13
But he answered one of them and said, Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

23
And when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people approached Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority do You do these things? And who gave You this authority?

25
The immersion of John; where was it from? From Heaven or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From Heaven, He will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?
26
But if we say, From men, we fear the multitude, for everyone holds John as a prophet.
27
So they answered Jesus and said, We do not know. And He said to them, Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28
But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go, work today in my vineyard.

31
Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

33
Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.
34
Now when the season of fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit.
35
And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.
36
Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.
37
Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son.
38
But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.
39
So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40
Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?
41
They said to Him, He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will deliver to him the fruits in their seasons.
42
Jesus said to them, Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
43
Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.
44
And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will crush him to pieces.
Mark 4:26-29

1
I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
2
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3
You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.
4
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5
I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me there is not a thing you are able to do.
6
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is dried up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7
If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall happen unto you.
