knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be nullified, that we should no longer serve sin.

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which is corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his practices,

and have put on the new man who is renewed in full true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him,
