Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be cut off.

Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be in subjection, as the Law also says.

For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.

Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
