I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.

But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; not even to eat with such a person.

Then Levi made Him a great feast in his own house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them.

And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against His disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?

And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;

But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.

And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, not investigating because of conscience;

For we are not writing any other things to you than what you read or understand. And I hope you will understand, even to the end

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the Word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience before God.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; and we are well known to God, and I also hope are well known in your consciences.
