Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish that he may become wise.

and again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

I will also leave a poor and weak people in your midst, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his works out of good conduct, in the meekness of wisdom.

This wisdom does not come down from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, fair, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

it seemed good to me also, having closely followed all things from the very first, to write it to you in orderly fashion, most excellent Theophilus,

And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the kingdom of God.

For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the Word of God.

Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

All the saints greet you, but especially those who are of Caesar's household.

Let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation,

For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. Thus the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
