Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Then he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

And he said, No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.

I know that you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.

They answered and said to Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.

For we are the circumcision, who serve God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in the flesh,

And God said to Abraham, Do not let your eyes quiver because of the lad or because of your maidservant. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your Seed shall be called.

of whom it was said, In Isaac your Seed shall be called,
