What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Let it not be! On the contrary, I would not have understood sin except through the Law. For I would not have known lust unless the Law had said, You shall not covet.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

and do not think to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Then he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.

But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one should rise from the dead.

They answered Him, We are Abraham's seed, and have been in slavery to no one at any time. How can You say, You will be made free?

I know that you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.

They answered and said to Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.

You do the works of your father. Then they said to Him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father; God.

Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the Word of this salvation is sent.

Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
