If you encounter your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to restore it to him.

If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving it to him; you shall help him set it free.

And so it was, when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said, Is this your voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice and wept.

And you have shown this day how you have dealt well with me; for when Jehovah had delivered me into your hand, you have not killed me.

But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who abuse you and persecute you,

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of the broom tree!

let burning coals fall upon them; let them be cast into the fire, into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
