Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.

When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.

Then the Jews said, See how He loved him.

And some of them said, Would not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have been able to keep this man from dying?

And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, Jacob, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; Jacob of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas of Jacob.

And there were many lamps in the upper room where they were gathered together.

And he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; make ready for us there.
