Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they understood that they were with Jesus.

Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,

And after six days Jesus took Peter, Jacob, and John his brother, and led them up into a high mountain by themselves;

And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and in extreme anguish.

Now there was reclining at Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.

Then, leaning back on Jesus' breast, he said to Him, Lord, who is it?

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.

So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there,

Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he was naked), and plunged into the sea.

Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.

Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is the one who betrays You?

Jesus said to him, If I intend for him to remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.

and when Jacob, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

So continuing day by day with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Then one came and reported to them, saying, Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.

and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, Cornelius.

So Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at evening.

The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening,

And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, Jehovah the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your Word.

Evening and morning and at noon I meditate and am in a stir; and He will hear my voice.

And when he had learned that the document was signed, Daniel went to his house. And in his roof room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt on his knees three times a day, and prayed and praised before his God, as he did before.

and while I was speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, reached me as I was weary and faint, about the time of the evening sacrifice.

And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. Having said this, He breathed out the spirit.
