Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea.

This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he might not spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Pentecost.

But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make certain gifts for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so also you do:

On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up from whatever he is prospered, that there be no collections when I come.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.

Then Paul took the men, and the next day, having been purified with them, entered the temple to declare the fulfillment of the days of purification, until an offering should be brought for each one of them.
