But when I found that he had committed nothing deserving of death, and that he himself had appealed to Augustus, I decided to send him.

Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, An angel has spoken to Him.

but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it; lest you even be found to fight against God.

If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to be able to prevent God?

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
