And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.

But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

So Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

For there stood by me this night an angel of God, to whom I belong and whom I serve,

saying, Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.

And as he lay and slept under a broom tree, behold an angel touched him, and said to him, Arise and eat.

And the Angel of Jehovah came back the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.

The Angel of Jehovah encamps round about those who fear Him, and rescues them.

The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.

Jehovah will not abandon him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty when he is judged.

And this shall be a sign to you: You shall eat grain this year from what was sown by itself; and the second year that which springs from the same; and in the third year you shall sow, and reap, and plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

My God has sent His Angel, and He has shut the mouths of the lions. And they have not harmed me, because in His sight innocence was found in me. And also before you, O king, I have done no harm.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who are about to inherit salvation.

But as he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from Heaven.

For You are my lamp, O Jehovah; Jehovah causes my darkness to shine.

And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.

I will bear the indignation of Jehovah because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I shall see His righteousness.

And His brightness is as the light; He has rays coming from His hand, and a covering of His strength.

The sun and moon stood still in their dwelling. At the light of Your arrows they went, at the shining of Your glittering spear.

After these things I saw another angel coming down from Heaven, having great power, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.

And when dawn had risen, the angels urged Lot, saying, Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are found here, that you not be consumed in the punishment of the city.

And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, Jehovah being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him down outside the city.

Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you.

Therefore He says: Awake, you who sleep, stand forth out from among the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.

whom God raised up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's bonds were loosened.

They hurt his feet with fetters, he was laid in irons,

The king sent and released him, the ruler of the people let him go free.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke and tore their bonds apart.

O Jehovah, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds.

Give attention to my cry, for I am brought very low; rescue me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto Your name; the righteous shall surround me, for You shall deal bountifully with me.

who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah lets loose the prisoners.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was startled. And he rose up in haste; he spoke and said to his counselors, Did we not throw three men bound into the middle of the fire? They replied and said to the king, True, O king.

He answered and said, Behold! I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and there is no harm to them. And the form of the fourth is like the son of a god.
