So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they committed them to the Lord into whom they believed.

And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them.

And the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.

They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem.

So, from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.

Let the elders who lead well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the Word and doctrine.

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I assigned you:

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory about to be revealed:

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their service, and they also took with them John whose surname was Mark.

And when I come, whomever you approve through letters I will send to carry your good will to Jerusalem.

But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.

For indeed he accepted the exhortation, and being more earnest, he went to you of his own accord.

and not only that, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is administered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself, and your ready mind,

providing honorable things, not only before the Lord, but also before men.
