(though Jesus Himself did not immerse, but His disciples),

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paul?

that no one should say that I had immersed into my name.

For Christ did not send me to immerse, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

For as many of you as were immersed into Christ have put on Christ.

For as yet He had not fallen on any of them. They had only been immersed in the name of the Lord Jesus.
