Your oarsmen brought you into many waters, but the east wind has broken you in the midst of the seas.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to return to land, but they were not able, for the sea was going on and being stormy against them.

And when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land.

And He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by.

Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.

And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came forth out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, by a distance of one thousand six hundred furlongs.

And the city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.

Jehovah on high is mightier than the sound of many waters, than the mighty breakers of the sea.

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost! And they cried out for fear.

And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out;

And as they were saying these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, Peace to you.

And He said to them, Why are you troubled? And why do reasonings arise in your hearts?
