For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For I have come down out of Heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness concerning Me.

Father, glorify Your name. Then a voice came from Heaven, saying, I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.

And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.

So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will lead many astray.

For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing.

After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed.

Are you not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred up trouble and led the four thousand assassins out into the wilderness?
