Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved.

Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.

He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and unrighteousness is not in Him.

And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges.

Jesus answered, If I glorify Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say that He is your God.

Nor did we seek honor from men, either from you or from others, when we might have been authoritative as apostles of Christ.

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
