So when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It has been finished! And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went forth and said to them, Whom do you seek?

who appeared in glory and spoke of His departure which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.

But I have an immersion to be immersed with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished.

Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.

For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: And He was numbered with the transgressors. For the things concerning Me have an end.

Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; and You have brought Me into the dust of death.

They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
