But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

And blessed is he who does not stumble because of Me.

yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when affliction or persecution arises because of the Word, immediately he stumbles.

So they were offended in Him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Then Jesus said to them, All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.

Peter answered and said to Him, Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.

It is good not to eat flesh nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is enticed to sin or is made weak.

that you may examine the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without blame unto the day of Christ,

and a Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense. They stumble, being disobedient to the Word, to which they also were appointed.
