But when he came out, he could not speak to them; and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he made signs to them and remained speechless.

So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he told them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go, tell these things to Jacob and to the brethren. And he departed and went to another place.

Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:

So when he had given him permission, Paul stood on the stairs and motioned with his hand to the people. And when there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the Hebrew dialect, saying,
