Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.

Jesus wept.

Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me out of this hour? But for this purpose I came unto this hour.

And He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death. Stay here and watch with Me.

And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols.

that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart.

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ on behalf of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh,

Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,

I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.

And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him,

I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.

And as they were eating, He said, Truly, I say to you, One of you will betray Me.

Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, Truly, I say to you, one of you who eats with Me will betray Me.

But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table.

And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!

Men and brethren, this Scripture needed to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who took Jesus;

for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that not all of them are of us.
