Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.

I am one as a laughingstock to his friends; one who called upon God, and He answered him; the just and whole one is a laughingstock.

Are not mockers with me? And does not my eye dwell on their rebellion?

All who see Me mock Me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying,

He is despised and rejected by men; a Man of pain, and knowing infirmity; a hiding of faces; being despised, we have esteemed Him not.

And Pilate marveled that He had already died; and summoning the centurion, he asked him if He had been dead for awhile.

And when he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, Lord, by this time there is a stench, for it is four days.

But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

And he who has seen has borne witness, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he speaks the truth, so that you may believe.
