So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city.

And when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea.

And it came to pass that, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the Word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.

And as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,

saying: Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in Heaven and glory in the highest!

and were unable to figure out anything to do; for all the people hung on to hear Him.

for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

Therefore David himself calls Him Lord; how is He then his son? And the large crowd heard Him gladly.

He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light.

Blessed is the man who gives heed to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God.
