In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it was pleasing in Your sight.

Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see;

The secret of Jehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will make them know His Covenant.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to babes.

He answered and said to them, Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given.

For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in Heaven.

And He said to them, To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things are in parables,

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent since the world began,

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, having been hidden, which God appointed before the ages for our glory,

But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it dawned upon the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already,

which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.

and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ Jesus.

that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the full true knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

Of this salvation the prophets have sought out and searched diligently, who prophesied concerning the grace towards you,

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; things which angels desire to look into.

Yet Jehovah has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day.

And He said, Go, and tell this people, You listen to hear, but do not understand; you look to see, but do not perceive.

therefore, behold, I will again do among this people something extraordinary and wonderful. For the wisdom of their wise ones shall perish, and the understanding of their intelligent ones shall be hidden.

They have not known nor understood; for He has shut their eyes so that they cannot see; and their hearts so that they cannot understand.

Now hear this, O foolish people, without understanding; who have eyes and see not; who have ears and hear not.

And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: Hearing you will hear and shall not at all understand, and seeing you will see and by no means perceive;

But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, that they should not see with their eyes, that they should not understand with their hearts and be turned, and I should heal them.

saying, Go to this people and say: Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you will see, and not perceive;

for the heart of this people has grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, that they should not see with their eyes nor hear with their ears, that they should not understand with their hearts and turn, and I should heal them.

What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

And David says: Let their table become a snare and a trap, and a stumbling block and a recompense to them.
