And after these things He went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me.

And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me. So he arose and followed Him.

Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.

But Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

And after they had become silent, Jacob answered, saying, Men and brethren, listen to me:

But I saw none of the other apostles except Jacob, the Lord's brother.

and when Jacob, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
