And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

But it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.

And He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.

And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.

Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:

And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who assembled there.

and were unable to figure out anything to do; for all the people hung on to hear Him.

And when Peter saw it, he answered the people: Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this one? Or why do you gaze on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
