Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Truly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be dug through.

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.

Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

Watch and pray, that you not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be like men, be strong.

But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be of sound mind and calm in your prayers.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not faint,

Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he always call upon God?

a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;

and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Be devoted to prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

pray without ceasing,

But those who are counted worthy to attain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;

which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;

since it is righteous judgment with God to repay with affliction those who trouble you,

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap.

Therefore take up all the armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand firm therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He is revealed, we may have confidence and not be distanced from Him in shame at His coming.

Now to Him who has the power to keep you from stumbling, and to present you without blemish before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
