Upon the wicked He will rain snares, fire and brimstone; and a horrible tempest shall be the portion of their cup.

For man also does not know his time; as the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.

Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.

And it shall be that he who flees from the sound of terror shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake.
